HISTORY AND STATEMENT
Elizabeth was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She obtained a B. A. in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida in 1997. Elizabeth expresses herself through a wide variety of mediums which includes watercolors, acrylics, papier-mache, ink, color pencils, collages, etchings, mosaics, pastels, clay, plaster, and digital art. Recently, she started doing commissions of large scale paintings and murals. Her inspirations come from everyday life, childhood memories, imagination, and ideas from her mother. Most of her work consists of vivid colors with happy subject matters.
Elizabeth is known locally in the Tampa Bay area for her decoratively painted papier-mache fish and her sports related artwork.
Elizabeth will have images of her work going up on the "Trail Blazer" space mission in late 2004. This is history in the making because it is the first commercial space mission. There is talk that a book will be made of the artwork involved in this historic mission.
In 2003, Elizabeth completed several large commissioned paintings.
In 2002, Elizabeth primarily focused on large scale commissioned paintings along with development of her own style of whimsical art.
In 2001, Elizabeth worked with the "Tour of Turtles" public art project that took place in the Tampa Bay area.
In 2000, Elizabeth was invited to show several pieces at the Goodwill Games Art Exhibition which was held in the Lake Placid Olympic Museum in New York.
Her work can be found in private collections throughout the world.
"I
used vivid, bright colors in my pieces because to me they are pleasing
to the eye and to the soul. I create pieces that I believe everyone
will enjoy looking at and possibly find humorous."
